B-Mitzvah Projects are a great way for young people to make a difference while preparing for their B-Mitzvah. In partnership with Matan, students can raise awareness, create inclusive resources, or fund programs that give educators the tools they need to create more inclusive environments.
Recently, Cater Wernick, a B-Mitzvah student in Maryland, raised over $5000 for Matan. His generosity allowed us to host our most popular webinar to date: “Teaching Hebrew to Children with Dyslexia”. With close to 250 participants, we know that these Jewish educators will feel more confident in their abilities to support all learners!
Whether it’s hosting a fundraiser, designing inclusive materials or leading an inclusion project, Matan can help create something meaningful for B-Mitzvah students that leaves a lasting impact. We also welcome connections with synagogues and educators who coordinate B-Mitzvah projects for their students. Matan can share resources with them directly, as well as with parents and caregivers looking to help their child create a meaningful, values-driven project.
