Jewish Disability Inclusion News Joins the Matan Family

This year also marked an exciting new chapter for Matan as Jewish Disability Inclusion News (JDIN) officially became a Matan project.

For years, JDIN has been a trusted source of thoughtful articles, personal stories, and practical resources that have elevated disabled voices and expanded conversations about inclusion throughout Jewish life. We are honored to help ensure that this important publication continues to grow and reach even more readers.

The transition also reflects our belief that lasting change requires more than training and consultation: it requires ongoing learning, dialogue, and the sharing of lived experiences. JDIN complements Matan’s work by providing a platform for the ideas, perspectives, and stories that challenge assumptions, inspire action, and deepen our understanding of what true belonging can look like.

Readers will continue to enjoy the outstanding editorial leadership of Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer and the guidance of JDIN’s advisory board, ensuring the publication retains the voice and vision that has made it such a valued resource.

As we welcome JDIN into the Matan family, we also honor the memory of Matan Koch, whose lifelong commitment to disability inclusion continues to inspire our work. We are proud to carry his vision forward by amplifying disabled voices and strengthening a Jewish community where everyone belongs.
